NEW PAGE - Sewing Goose patterns
I have a Bertha Goose and Bertie Gosseling lawn cement geese.
For those of you that don't know what they are --they are a heavy white goose and baby that each month has an outfit to wear.

Here are a few places to buy or make patterns:
(I don't recommend spending too much per pattern. You can sometimes buy a lot of pre-made patterns from various magazines.)

So--here's a couple basic ideas on how to make them.
There are 2 ways to start:
Decide if you want it to tie in the back around the neck. Some do, some don't.

To crochet it...notice it's narrow around the neck and gradually gets larger around the bottom.

You could make this in a wedge (baby bib) style and have it tie at her neck.
Or you could make it in a wedge and then make it more of a poncho to slip over her head. [It is more of a single crochet that has the shawl attached & just gradually gets a bit bigger as it goes down then has a kind of scalloped bottom edge.]

It's basically a circle pattern
Like these....

Then you decide if you want to add ties to it or maybe velcro it keep it closed.

Good luck!
If you use my ideas--please send me a picture of your designs to add to this page.
